Checked out the Auto Show today with Chris. There were some nice looking cars there, but the ones that deserve the most attention are the classics and hot import cars you find there every year. I was a bit dissapointed that my red Saleen S7 wasn’t there this year, however in it’s place was a sweet looking silver one… I still prefer it in red 😉
The Jeep area was incredible. They actually trucked in a shitload of dirt and set up a huge driving course with off-road characteristics like extreme hills, large puddles, and enough potholes to shake an engine free from it’s mounts.
XM Satellite Radio and Serius Satellite Radio had pretty big competition going on between them, but XM definitely had a much bigger presence. They ARE the better company, after all… From my own experiences and what I have heard from others, XM is the way to go. Plus, starting tomorrow (today), O&A are no longer a premium channel. Everyone will be able to enjoy them!
On the way to the show, We stopped in B&H Photo to pick up some accessories. I grabbed a Flash that works with my camera and existing flash, along with a circular polarizer filter for taking shots of the cars… Basically, It reduces (and almost eliminates) glare agains shiny/reflective surfaces. Worked great for removing the reflections of people from the sides of the cars.
You can check out my (MANY!) pictures at this page.
Remember the days of Napster? Downloading music as easy as reading your
email! It was all fun and games until the legal system stepped in and
shut down the fun. Party times continued as other services such as
Limewire, Kaaza, Morpheus, among others took over the role, but now
we’re on the verge of some serious changes.
Hollywood and the RIAA are working to try to change the laws in this
country that protect manufacturers who design products that “could
theoretically” be used for illegal purposes. Photocopiers, Email and
even the backbone of the entire known Internet (TCP/IP) are in danger.
Fear The Llama Song by Burton Earny
Here’s a llama
There’s a llama
And another little llama
Fuzzy llama
Funny llama
Llama llama
Duck
Llama llama
Cheesecake llama
Tablet
Brick
Potato
Llama
Llama llama
Mushroom
Llama
Llama llama
Duck
I was once a treehouse.
I lived in a cake.
But I never saw the way,
The orange slayed the rake.
I was only three years dead,
But it told a tale,
And now listen, little child
To the safety rail.
Did you ever see a llama
Kiss a llama
On the llama
Llama’s llama
Taste of llama
Llama llama
Duck
Half a llama
Twice the llama
Not a llama
Farmer llama
Llama in a car
Alarm a llama
Llama
Duck
Is that how it’s told now?
Is it all so old?
Is it made of lemon juice?
Doorknob
Ankle
Cold
Now my song is gettin thin.
I’ve run out of luck.
Time for me to retire now,
And become a duck
Out tonight with when we came across a horribly overpriced oxymoron!
CVS sells a Disposable Digital Camera! Yes, a One-Time-Use digital camera! DIGITAL CAMERA! I know, I said what the fuck when I saw it too!
The camera is made by a company called Pure Digital Technologies, Inc. located in San Francisco, CA. AT first glance, it just looks like any other small digital camera. It’s got a built in flash and even a 1 inch color LCD on the rear.
Playing around with the camera, it has the ability to take a picture, review and if you chose, delete the picture. One downside is that when you delete a picture, you cant go back and delete earlier pictures. Once you take a picture, your stuck with the previous pic. This sucks for a digital camera!
CVS was asking $20.00 for the camera too, and that does not include processing/developing.
My recommendation is to just get a few disposable cameras, or spend the extra money and get yourself an inexpensive digital camera. You’re better off with a classic film digital camera which costs half as much and I would imagine the quality is higher.
Soon to come, pictures! Featuring of the inner workings of the camera. I’d have em for you now, but I just got a nasty shock trying to open the thing and I think I’ll wait until I have some insulated tools to try again 🙂 Worst case scenario, I can make a nasty stun-gun out of the thing 😉
