I just found a new hobby. It’s called Geocaching. Basically, It’s a scavenger hunt played with a hand-held GPS (Global Positioning System) reciever. Items are hidden all over the world (in water/weatherproof containers usually) and their lattitude and logitude coordinates are posted to the Geocaching.com website. You can then use your GPS to locate and find these ‘caches’ and exchange items from within them. You can then track the progress of the caches or the items contained on the web.

We found our first cache yesterday and we’re heading out to our second one today. It’s great fun, good exercide, and it introduces some beautiful places that you wouldn’t think existed.

Currently, there’s 25,840 caches in 139 countries. There’s a ton of em near me too!
