The Hard Drive I ordered to replace the one that died in my PC arrived at the Melville Fed Ex office this morning around 8:15. I called FedEx to arrange to pick it up at their walk in center.
I went to FedEx and the guy couldn’t find my package. It wasn’t on hold nor did it show up in his computer under my address. I failed to bring the tracking number with me, so I headed back home and logged on to the Fed-Ex website. Called up the tracking page and sent it to the printer… The printer took 2 minutes to warm up and then spit out my confirmation page.
As I was walking out of my bedroom into the hallway, I looked down at the paper and read the top line…The word DELIVERED stood out to me… I lifted my head to notice the box sitting on the shelf in the hallway.
Aparently while I was 5 minutes away at Fed-Ex picking up my package, the Fed-Ex delivery guy had delivered the box to my house.
Things just work out. It could always be worse, it could have been missing for days. The universe likes you, why wouldn’t it? 🙂
Hye did you know that if you are having problems with a HD to freeze it? That is what we learned this week. It sounds a little strange to me but I am out of options for my fried HD. I NEED that data off it. So I will try it.
I have a really funny story about UPS…
I was at my mom’s house doing laundry like any normal adult and putting it into my car meant several trips in and out of the house. So on my last trip out I put the clothes in my trunk and notice a UPS truck pulling upto the house. My brother who had been trying to get me gone and out of the house didn’t think I was gone. the lady knocked on the door only to be greeted by a loud shout from him saying “GO AWAY!”(he thought it was me) The poor UPS employee gave me a strange look and replied with a scared little “UPS”. My brother in turn answered the door and saw me laughing at his humiliation.
